    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

Lathe Cut 10" vinyl. Limited to 40 Copies.

The STANDALONE label is focused on tracks built with classic sampling drum machines like AKAI's MPC range, EMU's SP series, and modern variants of the classics, like the Isla Instruments S2400. STANDALONE captures the immediacy of using small setups to create engaging, raw electronic music.

Rozz4r (sometimes known as Rozz3r when he's making more chilled-out IDM tunes) certainly knows his way around these instruments. When we heard his take on the classic 'The Bell Tune' by Invisible Man, we knew we had to cut it. The track was made entirely using the Isla Instruments S2400, then multi-tracked to Ableton Live for final mixing. The result is a fresh take on a rave classic with all the 12-bit crunchy breaks and deep subs you'd expect from the golden era of jungle.

The B-side, 'Calling All' is another S2400 jungle jamming session with rolling breakbeats, improvised synth lines, and some sick bass courtesy of an Arp 2600, all recorded directly to 2-track—precisely the way they did it back in the 90s.
